Don't Fall Short of the Perfect Wedding Day Hair Style

I often hear comment's from future bride's like "I'm growing my hair out for the wedding" or "my hair is too thin for the style I want".

Well I have good news for you ladies! The possibilities are ENDLESS now!

Special Occasion Extensions

Extensions can be a life saver for the bride looking for more fullness and length. Special occasion extensions can be easily removed and can help to achieve styles that you didn't know were possible for your hair.
Special occasion extension can vary in color, texture and ways that they are incorporated into the hair. I often color the extensions after meeting with the bride to assure that they will match perfectly. Sometimes I add clip-in's for down styling and other times I will incorporate the hair into an updo.
Below are two examples of brides I have used extensions on to enhance their look.

Bride Karen shown above had shoulder length hair, but with the help of the extensions, her updo looks full and beautiful.

The blonde hair extensions I used on Colleen helped me to take her above shoulder length hair to an elegant vintage updo with intricate pin curls.

Rock what you've got!!

Having short hair may seem like a negative when trying to achieve a style for your wedding day but there are more options then you may have once thought! You want to be yourself on your wedding day and if short hair is your thing, then go for a style that doesn't camouflage your cute haircut!

One of my very favorite hairstyles at the Oscars this year was Scarlett Johansson's short style. She offset her beautiful dress and glamorous makeup with a more casual down style. I love the random texture given to her hair and with the addition of a little shine serum, her locks took center stage.

The bride in this photo's short hair was curled and pinned back in a tousled updo.

This Vintage wave can be achieved on almost any length of hair!

2011 Trend Spotting Bridal Hair Styles

With spring just around the corner brides everywhere are making preparations for their big days.I can't help but have bridal beauty on the brain and wonder what beautiful looks I will have the pleasure of creating this year!

2010 was the year of tousled curls and beautiful natural texture.
Trendsetters like Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Michelle Williams walked the red carpet with their side-swept curls and half up do's, making a comeback for natural waves and curls.

According to the Spring 2011 Carolina Herrera runway show, sleek and sophisticated twists and buns may be all the rage this year, but don't forget my very favorite addition to any style........
                                               HAIR ACCESSORIES!!
flowers, pins, feathers, pearls, gems, headbands and birdcage veils you name it!
I've had a lot of luck finding unique hair pieces and accessories on Etsy.com but even fresh flowers from your florist can add a personal touch to your look.

I personally LOVE to create vintage looks for brides, and fortunately for everyone these classic styles always seem to stay fresh and beautiful; never going out of style! (bottom look created by me for Bride Kelli Tager JaclynJean.com)

Any style can be customized to fit the brides vision of her perfect wedding day look. Whether a bride is going for a Tousled, Sleek or Vintage look for their wedding day, the most important factor is that bride feels beautiful.
